Rey Mysterio Confirms WWE Royal Rumble Status Following Injury
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has opened up about his Royal Rumble status after suffering a nasty injury on Raw.
On the January 26th edition of Raw, Rey Mysterio looked to get some measure of revenge on The Vision as he went one-on-one with Austin Theory. During the bout, Theory and Mysterio battled outside the ring with Mysterio hitting a hurricanrana, and things seemed to go very wrong.
Mysterio clutched his shoulder with the referee throwing up the ‘X’ sign to indicate a real injury. The Vision interfered and laid out both Penta and Dragon Lee, while Theory was able to hit a Stomp on Mysterio to quickly end the match and pick up the victory.

Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Penta are all scheduled to be a part of the men’s Royal Rumble match, with another twelve stars also declared for that bout so far. Given that Mysterio is travelling to the Middle East then it would seem that he still intends to be a part of that match which is good news in regards to his injury.
