Following his latest WWE appearance at the 2022 Royal Rumble, Bad Bunny was presented with a surprise gift by Rey Mysterio.

Bad Bunny made his WWE debut at the 2021 Royal Rumble where, after The Miz destroyed his DJ equipment, he distracted the former WWE Champion and John Morrison, allowing Damian Pries to throw them out of the Rumble. Not being satisfied with just their elimination, the reggaeton superstar took to the top rope and leapt on the pair.

After getting involved in the Rumble, Bad Bunny continued making appearances on WWE TV, eventually teaming with Damian Priest at WrestleMania 37 to defeat The Miz and Morrison.

The rapper’s WrestleMania bout saw him surprise fans with his athleticism when he hit a Canadian Destroyer, and he earned plaudits across the board for his commitment and overall performance.

In January 2022, the star was back in a WWE ring as a surprise entrant in the men’s Royal Rumble match. The former 24/7 Champion entered at number 27 and was able to eliminate both Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler. After making it to the final five, however, his dreams of main eventing WrestleMania were shattered by an F-5 and elimination by eventual winner Brock Lesnar.

Now, a new clip posted by WWE, shows that once backstage Bad Bunny got something of a pick-me-up when former World Champion Rey Mysterio gifted him one of his trademark masks, the very one he wore during the Rumble match.

The 2022 Royal Rumble was a night of surprises with both the men’s and women’s matches throwing up shock winners.

The women’s Rumble match was won by Ronda Rousey who made her first appearance in almost three years in the bout. The former UFC star will pick which champion she will face at WrestleMania 38 on the February 4th edition of SmackDown.

Meanwhile, it was Brock Lesnar who made an unexpected appearance in the men’s match after losing his WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley a little over an hour earlier. Lesanr entered at Number 30 and made short work of the remaining competitors to book his spot at WrestleMania. Lesnar will face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but only after he attempts to regain his WWE Title at Elimination Chamber.
