A 25-year-old star, who was released from the WWE recently, has surprisingly announced his retirement from pro wrestling at such a young age. The star who retired is Luca Crusifino.

Coming from a football background, Luca Crusifino signed with the WWE in 2023. During his tenure in the Stamford-based promotion, Luca performed on the company’s developmental brands, NXT, Lvl Up, and Evolve. However, after three years with the promotion, Crusifino has been let go, as he was part of the recent mass releases from the company.

Last Friday, WWE released a number of wrestlers, and the list included some shocking names such as Aleister Black, Kairi Sane, Zelina Vega, and more. Multiple talents from NXT also came under the hammer, which included the promising 25-year-old star, Luca Crusifino.

The recently released WWE star, Luca Crusifino took to the X social media platform following his release to announce that he is closing this chapter of his life, citing pro wrestling:

After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this chapter of my life. Being a part of the WWE has been a dream ever since I was a child. Getting the chance to live out my dream in front of the world is something I’ll never take for granted. To the fans … thank you for every cheer, every boo, every moment of support. You made this journey unforgettable.”

Luca continued by thanking everyone and officially announcing his retirement from professional wrestling:

I am forever grateful for the friendships that I made along the way. From talent, to coaches, to the creative team, to every single person I came in contact with at the performance center … thank you! Thank you for pushing me, believing in me, and sharing the ring with me. I’ve learned more than I can ever put into words and met some of the greatest people that will be friends for life. As of today, I’m officially stepping away and retiring from professional wrestling. It’s not an easy decision, but it’s the right one for me. This isn’t goodbye, just the end of one incredible chapter.”

In the end, Luca also joked that he won’t join OnlyFans after retirement:
