Who Was Really Behind Bad Bunny’s Jaw-Dropping WWE Moment

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny learned how to do a big move from one of his WWE opponents.

The Grammy Award-winning musician Bad Bunny is just one of several celebrities who has thrived in this Triple H-led new era of WWE.

While Bunny is busy performing his music at sold-out concerts all around the world, he has also had three matches in WWE. The last match that Bad Bunny had was a memorable one against Damian Priest at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, which is Bunny’s home country. Bunny won that match in impressive.

For his debut match, Bad Bunny competed at WrestleMania 37 in 2021 with Damian Priest as his tag team partner against the veteran duo of The Miz and John Morrison. During that match, Bad Bunny hit an incredible Canadian Destroyer that was immediately called the Bunny Destroyer by announcer Booker T.

During an appearance on Hot Ones, Bunny credited John Morrison for suggesting that Bunny try that move.

“That was John Morrison’s idea. Like, ‘You should do the Canadian Destroyer and we call it the Bunny Destroyer.’ We did it, we practiced it. I really learned a lot about him, about Damian Priest, The Miz, and all the guys that was coaching me.”

Bad Bunny Wants To Wrestle Again

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bad Bunny spoke about his love of pro wrestling and how he wanted to step into the ring again while also mentioning how it scared his mother to watch him do his thing in the ring.

“I want to do it one more time. I want to put my life at risk in the ring. I felt like I didn’t risk it enough in the ring, and I want to do it. I want to scare my mother. When? I don’t know. We stay in contact with the people at WWE, we’re always paying attention to what’s going on.

But when, I don’t know. I hope there’s a time where I can really get ready, like I did the last few times. And I’d love to take more time to get ready physically.”

Even though he’s a massive success in the music wonder, Bunny admitted that he thinks about life as a pro wrestler too.

“But man, just like in music, I do this to get better and to do something different. Sometimes, I say, “I’m going to quit everything and just do wrestling full time. I feel like in wrestling, I just go sporadically as a celebrity. I’m going to go full time and be a heel. That’s what I’d love. [Laughs.] I was always a fan of the villains more than the good guys.”

Whether Bad Bunny competes again in WWE is unknown, but it’s likely that if he wants to do it then WWE will make it happen because he has earned a lot of praise for his past performances.
