R-Truth’s WWE Return Left 8-Time Champion In Tears
A former champion in WWE was left in tears when R-Truth made his unexpected return after apparently being let go.
In the summer of 2025, one of the most unlikely stories in recent years set the wrestling world ablaze as WWE told R-Truth that his contract would not be extended, leaving him almost free to leave.
Truth told the world about his status, and the backlash was massive. To the point that WWE President Nick Khan was forced to intervene to sign Truth to a new contract. Truth soon returned to WWE TV at Money In The Bank, with a shocking short haircut and a serious new attitude while calling himself Ron Killings.
This new look version of the star lasted for about one match before he returned to being the perennially confused R-Truth.
Road Dogg Emotional After R-Truth’s Return
WWE Hall of Famer and lead SmackDown writer Road Dogg revealed on WWE Unreal how he reacted when he saw his former tag team partner make his shocking return:
I knew it was Ron Killings immediately because of his ankles. I know that sounds funny, but like, I knew his ankles. I started crying right then.
Road Dogg confessed that WWE letting R-Truth go made perfect business sense for the company. However, it seems Truth signed a deal that could last a whopping seven years to continue his run in WWE.
