Rhea Ripley suffered a health setback just days before WWE WrestleMania 42.

The Eradicator is set for a blockbuster match at The Show of Shows as she will challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship. Ripley earned the opportunity by winning the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, outlasting Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Kiana James, and Alexa Bliss.

If Rhea Ripley manages to get the better of Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42, she will kickstart her eighth reign as a champion in the sports entertainment juggernaut. However, will she be at 100% for the mega event?

Rhea Ripley’s husband and AEW star, Buddy Matthews, recently sent every wrestling fan into panic mode by sharing a picture of The Eradicator in a hospital bed. Ripley was seen flipping the bird, with Matthews writing “Wasted” on his post on Instagram Story.

As he didn’t elaborate any further, fans were understandably very worried for Rhea Ripley’s health. Ripley has now revealed what actually happened. She prepared the fans with two Instagram Stories of her own.

Rhea Ripley then showed off a photo of herself with a nasty-looking gash. The picture also confirmed that she went to the hospital to stitch up her wound. She captioned her post with the following message:

Nice little detour to the emergency room for me today 🤣
