Creative Plans For Jamie Hayter After Shock AEW Return
Jamie Hayter is back in AEW but what does the company have planned for her following her shock return?
Jamie Hayter made a return to AEW at All In London in 2024 after battling back from injury. Hayter lost the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing 2023 after sustaining a major back injury that threatened to end her career altogether.
However, her second bite at AEW proved to be short-lived as she was taken out by a debuting Thekla in June, as she faced another injury layoff. But thankfully, this one was not nearly as long as the first.
The Zero Hour pre-show before Forbidden Door saw Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Megan Bayne take on Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, and Harley Cameron in an eight-woman tag team match. Bayne and the Triangle of Madness picked up the win, but danger lay in store for Thekla in particular.
AEW Has Big Plans For Jamie Hayter
The Triangle of Madness later attacked Queen Aminata and had her prone for Thekla to attack on the entranceway as Jamie Hayter made her surprise return, taking out Skye Blue and Julia Hart to get to the Toxic Spider.
Fightful Select has given more insight into Hayter’s return to the company and what the plans for her are. After being taken out of action due to injury in the closing moments of her Double Or Nothing match with Mercedes Mone, Thekla’s debut was pushed up. Hayter was praised for being able to work through a spot described as “smoke and mirrors” to help Thekla’s debut. It was said that the plan in AEW was always to have Jamie Hayter and Thekla to feud on the English star’s return.
