Personal “Vendetta” Behind Ronda Rousey’s AEW Move – Reports
Ronda Rousey made her AEW debut at Revolution, and it has sent quite the wave within the WWE Universe.
However, it wasn’t a wave of concern, but more a wave of annoyance.
Rousey debuted as a supporter for Marina Shafir after Toni Storm defeated Shafir in the singles match. Storm and she had a stare-down, but it did not reach any violent escalation.
Ronda Rousey has a vendetta against TKO
The Baddest Woman on the Planet will make her return to MMA against Gina Carano. This fight has been promoted by Most Valuable Promotions and is streaming on Netflix.
Rousey vs. Carano was supposed to be in UFC. However, the fight got postponed, and the best deal was under Most Valuable Promotions. Rousey spoke against UFC, which is also under TKO.
According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a source has claimed that Rousey’s AEW debut ties strongly with her vendetta against TKO. Furthermore, he noted that TKO isn’t going to be happy with her degrading UFC, and people in WWE wouldn’t be happy about the situation either.
She had negotiated a strong compensation under the pay-per-view model, but that changed when it shifted to streaming. Now, she is focusing on promoting Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, and she is fighting in the promotion’s first MMA event and Netflix’s first MMA event.
