Nikki Bella Announces Marriage
It was announced by Nikki Bella that she got married to Russian professional dancer Artem Chigvinstev in Paris – congrats to the newlyweds!
The news of the wedding was announced by Nikki on Instagram while noting that their wedding will be shown on a four-part series on the E! Network. It will be called: “Nikki Bella Says I Do.”
The WWE Hall of Famer Nikki and Artem were engaged on January 3, 2020, but the COVID-19 global health pandemic delayed their wedding until they were ready to do it recently in Paris. The couple welcomed a baby boy named Matteo Artemovich Chigvinstev in July 2020.
Nikki and Artem first met when they were dance partners on the 25th season of Dancing with the Stars. Their relationship was shown on Total Bellas, which was a spinoff of Total Divas with both shows airing on E! Network.
When Total Divas launched in 2013, Nikki’s relationship as the girlfriend of the top WWE superstar John Cena was one of the main stories that was focused on during the show. The couple would end up engaged when Cena proposed at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando in 2017, but they chose to end their relationship instead of getting married.
During her WWE career, Nikki had a lot of success as one of the company’s biggest female stars along with her twin sister Brie as they formed The Bella Twins. She was a former two-time Divas Champion with a second title reign that lasted 301 days, which was the longest reign in the history of that title. Nikki also headlined the women’s only Evolution 2018 pay-per-view when she lost to Ronda Rousey in the main. Nikki competed in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match as well.
