Nia Jax Makes Heartbreaking Personal Confession Addressing WWE Angle
Nia Jax has been involved in several major storylines throughout her WWE career, but one that stands out is her rivalry with Alexa Bliss.
In that storyline, Bliss targeted and bullied Jax over her size and body weight, repeatedly mocking her physical appearance. The angle was designed to transition Nia Jax from a heel into a babyface. It ultimately reached its peak at WrestleMania 34, where Jax defeated Bliss to win the Raw Women’s Championship.
Nia Jax recently appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, where she was asked to comment on the bullying storyline with Alexa Bliss. While discussing it, Jax revealed that Alexa Bliss was so kind that she initially did not want to say many of the harsh lines on the microphone, but Jax encouraged her to fully commit to the role.
“I mean, it’s something; everybody’s been bullied or hurt at one point in their life, and there’s something you can pull from, I feel like, in those moments. Lexi, I just remember her being like, ‘I don’t really want to say this. This is really mean. I don’t really want to do this.’ She had a hard time because she’s a great human being. I was like, ‘Dude, we got to sell this story. We want this. We want to pitch this like this is supposed to be a major storyline.’ We want this.”
Nia Jax Was Bullied By Her Brothers In Childhood
Jax also made a heartfelt personal confession, stating that she had been bullied in her own life and that her biggest bullies were her brothers.
Because of that, she said she developed very thick skin and that no one can hurt her feelings anymore. Jax added that, given her own history with bullying, she felt proud to be part of the storyline and the message it delivered.
“So, yeah, I have been bullied, my biggest bullies in my life are my brothers. So I really have thick skin, nobody can really hurt my feelings. But there have been times where it’s like, yeah, I’ve been made fun of for the way I look and how big I am and whatnot. So it wasn’t that hard to pull from, but I’m really proud of that storyline, because we both gave it our all, and she’s such a great little actress.”
