New WWE General Manager Revealed
Ava, aka Simone Johnson, left WWE in early February 2026 after stepping down from her position as the General Manager of NXT.
On the February 3 edition of NXT, Shawn Michaels officially named Robert Stone as the interim General Manager of NXT Michaels cited Stone’s seven years of loyalty and consistency within NXT as the reason for his promotion.
Following the changes in NXT, Evolve is now also set to receive a new General Manager. Former Evolve General Manager Stevie Turner announced her departure from the Stamford-based promotion in October 2025, ending her four-year tenure with the promotion.
Timothy Thatcher Set To Become The New WWE Evolve General Manager
Now, several months after her exit, BodySlam.net reported on February 21 that Timothy Thatcher is expected to be appointed as the new General Manager of Evolve.
“Changes are coming to WWE EVOLVE. One of the changes is the authority figure. Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Timothy Thatcher is going to be the new GM for WWE EVOLVE moving forward. Thatcher has been working with WWE with the WWE ID program and now he will get an official role on TV as well.”
Timothy Thatcher is a lead trainer for WWE ID. He rejoined the Stamford-based promotion in late 2024 as a special coach and the headmaster for the WWE ID program, guiding up-and-coming independent talent. Thatcher made his WWE in-ring return in a losing match against Sean Legacy on the March 26, 2025, episode of Evolve.
