KAIRI vs. Mercedes Mone isn’t the only big match happening on NJPW’s next big US show.

Battle in the Valley, which takes place on February 18th, is New Japan’s first big international show of the year. The show has already garnered plenty of interest after it was announced that IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI will defend that title against Mercedes Mone in Mone’s first match outside WWE.

But this will not be a one-match show as two more matches have been announced for it, per NJPW’s official website.

The first new match will see AEW’s Eddie Kingston finally get his hands on now-former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White. This match was supposed to take place months ago but was cancelled when Kingston tested positive for COVID-19.

The other new match will feature “Filthy” Tom Lawlor take on Homicide in what’s being called a ‘Filthy Rules Match’.

With these matches, the current line-up for NJPW Battle in the Valley ’23 lists as follows:

  • KAIRI vs. Mercedes Mone for the IWHP Women’s Title
  • ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor vs. Homicide
  • Eddie Kingston vs. Jay White
  • Fred Rosser (the former Darren Young) vs. KENTA for the Strong Openweight Championship
  • David Finlay vs. Bobby Fish
  • Alex Coughlin vs. J.R. Kratos
  • An IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match with either Kazuchika Okada or Shingo Takagi as champion, depending on who wins at The New Beginning in Osaka on February 11th
