Missing WWE Star Teases Huge Character Switch

Omos has been missing from WWE for over a year and a half.

Omos’ last match on WWE television was the 2024 André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown, which was won by Bronson Reed. After that, he did not appear on any WWE TV shows for the rest of 2024 or in 2025–2026, making that Battle Royal his last televised WWE match so far.​

He did, however, wrestle a few non-televised NXT house shows in late 2025, including a no-contest against Oba Femi on October 11, 2025, which was his most recent in-ring work for the Stamford-based promotion.

Amid his absence, Omos has strongly teased a new character for his return. In a recent video posted online, he showed himself dressing in a sharp suit, putting on a gold watch, spraying cologne, and acting like a confident, stylish powerhouse, very different from his silent giant persona.

WWE Is Happy With Omos’ AAA Involvement

During the time that Omos has been away from WWE television, he has remained active on the independent scene and in other major promotions, most notably appearing in Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan and also competing in AAA’s TripleMania XXXIII event in Mexico.

In NOAH, he formed a tag team with Jack Morris and captured the GHC Tag Team Championships. Around the same time, he took part in AAA’s TripleMania XXXIII, one of the biggest shows on the Mexican wrestling calendar.

Fightful Select recently contacted WWE to inquire about Omos’ involvement in AAA and was told that the company has been “happy with the reception” to his appearances at those international events. The Stamford-based promotion also indicated to Fightful that fans can expect more of these kinds of international bookings for its talent in the future.

Fightful also asked WWE why Omos hasn’t returned to television yet, but the Stamford‑based company chose not to comment on his current status or timeline for a return, leaving his exact role and character direction still unclear for now.
