A huge name in AEW is not expected to wrestle again in 2026.

“Timeless” Toni Storm picked up a big win at AEW Revolution in Los Angeles when she defeated her rival Marina Shafir in a singles match. Storm won that match with the “Big Package” that she uses to cradle her opponent to win a match.

On AEW Dynamite, Toni Storm was supposed to be in a No Holds Barred Match with Shafir. However, while Shafir was making her entrance on Dynamite, Storm was shown in her locker room earlier in the day, with the announcers claiming she was the victim of the dreaded “mystery attack” that often plagues wrestling shows.

In Storm’s place was Mina Shirakawa, who faced Shafir in the No Holds Barred Match on Dynamite. The rough week for Shafir continued since she lost to Shirakawa, who used Toni’s Storm Zero move to win the match.

As for Storm, there have been multiple reports about what may be going on with her.

Toni Storm Expected To Be Away From AEW Ring For A Long Time

The 30-year-old “Timeless” Toni Storm, who isn’t afraid to say anything that’s on her mind, is a 4-time AEW Women’s World Champion. Fightful Select reports that it may be a long time until Storm can be a champion again.

Fightful noted that Storm was written off AEW on TV on Dynamite in a deliberate non-contact angle “that was sprinkled with easter eggs to encourage speculation on who took her out.”

It was added that Storm will not be in the ring any time soon. Fightful also reported that they were told AEW is preparing for Storm not to be cleared to wrestle again for the rest of 2026 at a minimum, which suggests the absence will last into 2027 as well.

Since Storm was not cleared for the March 18th match on AEW Dynamite, the company chose to use Mina Shirakawa in the match against Marina Shafir. According to Fightful, there are plans for the mystery attacker storyline regarding what happened to Storm.

There are online rumours that Toni Storm may be pregnant, which would explain why she’s out for the rest of the year and likely for most of 2027. Storm is married to fellow AEW wrestler Juice Robinson. The couple has yet to announce a pregnancy, but that’s a rumour for now.
