Lionel Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo Of WWE Revealed

Rey Mysterio has named two top stars as the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo of WWE.

Messi and Ronaldo need no introduction. They have multiple individual and team accolades to their names. While both legends are in the twilight of their careers, the fanfare around them is still the same as before.

WWE legend Rey Mysterio gives an interesting answer

During his appearance on a recent edition of The Late Run podcast, Rey Mysterio shared his honest views on the GOAT debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Mysterio stated that he loves CR7, but his choice is Messi.

Upon being asked who Rey Mysterio considers the Messi and Ronaldo of WWE, The Master of the 619 immediately named Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. He heaped praise on Rollins and Reigns, highlighting their journey in the sports entertainment juggernaut.

I would have to say Seth Rollins being one of them, because he’s a masterpiece at what he does. He is the architect, really. And on the other end, you know, I would probably have to give it to Roman. Roman Reigns. Yeah. He mastered this down really fast. And again, you talk about the legacy and the dynasty of where he came from. Now, I was just talking about, like, current talent, you know, because we can go back and talk about The Rock and people that have been before. But yeah, I truly believe that, especially knowing that those two guys were part of a team at one point, you know, they kind of went their own separate ways, and now they’re both on top of the game.

Fans can watch Ronaldo (Portugal) and Messi (Argentina) in action at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada.

As for Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, while The OTC is reigning as the World Heavyweight Champion, The Architect suffered a blow in his quest to win the 2026 King of the Ring. It will be interesting to see how Triple H books them in the coming weeks.
