Legend Calls Out WWE 2K: “I Was A Little Shook”

WWE legend didn’t like her 2k19 character.

When the Stamford-based promotion introduced Lana’s new character in 2K19, she had short blonde hair and black bejeweled gear that completely misrepresented her on-screen look and persona from that period.​

At the time in 2018, Lana’s character had long, flowing brunette hair and a more elegant, glamorous style. But 2K19 used a short, spiky blonde cut and flashy gear that she never actually wore in WWE, making her look unrecognizable and nothing like her TV appearance.

Lana even called out WWE after the video game release and questioned why her character looked nothing like her on TV.

Lana tweeted, “Who is this ?????? Never have I worn that gear or wrestled with short hair so I am very confused who this women is.”

In a recent Ring the Belle interview, Lana again addressed the issue, explaining what bothered her most. She revealed that WWE used a version of her that was never seen on TV. She wore short blonde hair once, but that was backstage for a shoot.

Lana said, “I never wore that gear out to wrestle in the ring on television. I just did it backstage. The hair was like that for the shoot… but I never wore it out to the ring on television. And so I was a little shook. If I wanted you guys to use this for the video game or action figures or anything, I would have worn it out to the ring.” H/T Ringside News
