John Cena’s Ex-WWE Girlfriend Wasn’t Invited To His Final Match
John Cena’s WWE ex-girlfriend shares details about where she was during The Champ’s final WWE match.
John Cena wrestled his final ever match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, 2025, where he lost to Gunther via tapout.
Cena brought the curtain down on a nearly 23-year career during which time he was also almost married to WWE Star Nikki Bella.
Cena proposed to Bella at Wrestlemania 33 in 2017, and Bella accepted. Unfortunately, the couple called off their 6-year relationship ahead of their May 2018 wedding, reportedly due to differences about having children, with Bella wanting kids and Cena not being up for fatherhood.
Nikki recently spoke candidly about Cena and his final match and her role in it to Logan Paul on his IMPAULSIVE podcast.
Nikki Bella Says She Wasn’t Invited To John Cena’s Final Match
In a segment on the podcast episode, Logan Paul asks Nikki about how she felt interacting with her ex, John Cena, once she came back after a few years of hiatus. Paul also says that he was in Gorilla Position, trying to see how their interaction would go.
Bella admits that it was initially awkward for her to interact with Cena again, but she later got to meet his wife, and things became normal again. She talks about Cena’s retirement match, saying that people have the misconception that she was invited and she denied it when, in reality, she wasn’t invited to it.
People acted like I got invited to his match and that I denied the request. I wasn’t invited. I was at the Flyers’ game cause the Eagles were playing the next day.
Bella said that she was sad about Cena’s retirement but was happy that he got to go out the way he wanted to.
It was more sad about him retiring. Y’know. I just wanted his run to be the way he wanted. So as long as he’s happy, I’m happy. (45:26 onwards)
