John Cena Reacts To LA Knight As WWE Fastlane Tag Team Partner

John Cena has reacted to the news that LA Knight will be his tag team partner at the upcoming WWE Fastlane Premium Live Event.

The ending of WWE Friday Night Smackdown in Sacramento put a big smile on John Cena’s face after it looked like the former 16-time WWE World Champion was going to get beat up by The Bloodline for the second straight week.

One week earlier on the September 22nd edition of Smackdown, The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa did a cheap attack on AJ Styles, who Cena planned to tag with against The Bloodline. Styles was sent out of the building on a stretcher. Cena was beaten up by The Bloodline to end that show.

On this week’s Smackdown, WWE said Cena was late arriving (wink wink) and of course, he made it for the main event segment. The Bloodline beat up Cena again, they wanted to put him through the commentary table and that’s when LA Knight made the save. Knight and Cena cleared the ring. Knight followed up by signing the contract to become Cena’s tag team partner at WWE Fastlane next Saturday, October 7th.

Cena was excited in the ring, but he didn’t get a chance to say anything on the microphone. On Twitter/X, Cena shared his reaction.

“Better late than never! YEAH, I have a partner for #WWEFastlane! See you next week, Jimmy @WWEUsos and @WWESoloSikoa! @WWE”

John Cena wrestling at Fastlane will be his first televised match in six months

The WWE Fastlane PLE takes place next Saturday, October 7th in Indianapolis. It will be Cena’s second televised match this year and the first one since he lost the US Title match against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year.

Cena has wrestled four matches in the month of September with three of them being dark matches after Smackdown, along with a tag team match victory with Seth Rollins at WWE’s live event in India earlier this month.
