John Cena Gives Thanks For Randy Orton Before WWE Return

Stare down between John Cena and Randy Orton

John Cena has celebrated Thanksgiving with a heartfelt message to Randy Orton.

While John Cena has been hinting at retirement, one of his greatest foes is set to make a return as Randy Orton has been announced for WarGames at Survivor Series.

Cena has just completed a lengthy return to WWE that saw him teaming with Seth Rollins to defeat Imperium, and with LA Knight to get a victory over Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. His final match came at Crown Jewel earlier this month, where Sikoa destroyed him with multiple Samoan Spikes to pick up his biggest victory to date.

Meanwhile, Orton has been out of action for over 18 months as he recovered from a serious back injury, but now The Viper is coming back to help Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn take on The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre.

Ahead of Orton’s return, Cena posted a message of thanks to the Apex Predator on social media along with footage of one of their earliest matches when they were both in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

“Cannot celebrate this day without being thankful for all the people who helped and grew along the way. Truly thankful for my time in OVW and @RandyOrton during those years. Take a look back at our final match in OVW! Happy Thanksgiving!”
