John Cena Calls Out WWE Talent: “F**k Off”

John Cena on the mic on WWE Raw

John Cena has sent a damning message to WWE stars over one thing he really doesn’t like to see.

Ever since Endeavor completed its takeover of WWE in 2023, the company has mostly done away with live events. The main exception is when WWE goes overseas, as they will again later in the year for a first-ever PLE in Italy.

While stars such as Cody Rhodes have been vocal about seeing more live events return to the calendar, John Cena has explained why he doesn’t think they are always the best thing for fans.

Speaking on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, John Cena explained his biggest problem with WWE live events, and it’s those who use them as an excuse to do what they want, no matter the storylines playing out on TV:

When I watch live events, a lot of times, you guys are going into business for yourself. F** off.

You have fun. But it’s not fun that follows the narrative of the show, and it’s a disconnect to the audience.

John Cena Demands WWE Stars Keep The Audience Connected

Cena continued his rant, noting that he felt it was about consistency and that anything done on any show should be simply to serve the fans:

So you want more freedom to be able to – if the crowd is chanting 619, should I do one right now? That’s different than like, ‘I want to do a fun spot that I think is going to be fun with my partners [but] it’ll be a disconnect from the audience.’
