Jeff Jarrett Talks AEW Collision – “The Brand Is Hot”

Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett is staying optimistic about AEW Collision amid concerns surrounding the show’s debut.

AEW Collision was officially confirmed on the May 17th edition of Dynamite. However, that announcement wasn’t the big success the company hoped for. This was because the widely-assumed second part of it, that CM Punk would be confirmed to be appearing on the show’s debut broadcast, never happened.

With that lack of a Punk confirmation, some fans have turned cold on Collision. However, one man who is doing his best to assure that it will be a success is Jeff Jarrett, who spoke about the show on his My World podcast.

“Collision, how big? It’s all about the television industry, and at the end of the day, in under five years, five hours of primetime television. It just goes without saying, the brand is hot.

Look, maybe it’s not for everybody. Maybe the WWE is not fit everybody, and the controversy and all the ins and outs, but at the end of the day, it is this plain and simple.

Warner Brothers Discovery looked at their menu, they’ve got hockey, they’ve got basketball, they’ve got all kinds of different programming, and they wanted two more hours of primetime wrestling.

That just says a lot to me, not only for AEW, but for the industry as a whole. Pretty dang exciting.”

Jeff Jarrett currently serves double duty in AEW: he splits his time between wrestling and serving as the company’s Director of Business Development, the latter being one of his responsibilities since last November.
