Jacob Fatu Faces WWE Firing After Disastrous Loss To Roman Reigns At Clash In Italy
WWE Clash in Italy had been a highly anticipated Premium Live Event for the fans, as it featured the return of The Tribal Combat. It became a highly popular match type during Roman Reigns’ 1316-day run as the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Ever since he became World Champion again at WWE WrestleMania 42, Roman Reigns has been dealing with another one of his family members, as Jacob Fatu has been after him and his World Heavyweight Championship.
Roman defeated Fatu at Backlash earlier this month, following which the Samoan Werewolf challenged his cousin to a Tribal Combat. The winner of the match will not only become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but will also hold the title of Tribal Chief.
However, a loss for Fatu would be cruel for the former United States Champion, as he would have to acknowledge Roman as the OTC and serve him, failing which he would be fired from the promotion.
Jacob Fatu took control of the match early on as he went for the Tongan Death Grip almost immediately, causing Roman to retreat to the outside. Once on the outside, Fatu gained the upper hand on his cousin.

He beat Roman through the crowd and remained in control before bringing him back in the ring, where Reigns brought the match to his pace and began to assert control.
However, Fatu didn’t stay down for long and got back into the match at every chance he got. Roman hit him right on the head with the Steel Steps and multiple Superman Punches, but he never stayed down long enough for a pin.
Fatu was locked in the Tongan Death Grip on Roman, but he got out of the ring to get out of the hold. Fatu was looking for a Suicide Dive, but Reigns stopped him in his tracks with another Superman punch.
With both men down near the ring, Roman took out a toolbox and smashed Fatu’s hand with it on the announce table. He then targeted Fatu’s right hand and kept attacking it to prevent him from using the Tongan Death Grip.

Fatu tried to get back in the match by putting Roman through the barricade once again, but Roman hit him with a Superman Punch again. The OTC then speared Fatu through the barricade before hitting him with another one inside the ring, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.
The World Heavyweight Champion exposed the padding of all the steel turnbuckles and smashed Fatu’s head onto two of them. Jacob then hit Roman with a pop-up Samoan Drop and followed it up with the Mighty Moonsault, but the OTC kicked out.
This proved to be the final offense Jacob got in the match as Roman Reigns then smashed Fatu’s head on the steel turnbuckle multiple times before hitting him with a Spear through the table.
However, Fatu got right up after it, and an enraged Roman hit him with a charged-up Spear to pin him to the mat. He was then met in the ring by The Usos, who bestowed upon him the Ulafala before the MFT showed up in the crowd and eyed Jacob Fatu.
