IYO SKY’s Fiance Get New Ring Name In WWE
Following EVIL’s move to WWE from NJPW, reports claimed that he would get a new name.
On April 5, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion was featured in a vignette, where he addressed confronting Tony D’Angelo on NXT last week.
D’Angelo, who is the NXT World Champion, is on the road to finding his new challenger, as multiple wrestlers have claimed their stake to it.
In the vignette, the 39-year-old Japanese star claimed that he won many titles and defeated prominent names in his home country. He said that despite numerous accomplishments, he never felt satisfied.
He also acknowledged that NXT has entered a new era and opportunity is in abundance, and that it was his moment to be in the spotlight.
The wrestler formerly known as EVIL then referenced the gift he gave Tony D’Angelo, stating that it was not a gift, but rather a proclamation. He foresaw them battling for the NXT Championship someday.
Just as the vignette ended, WWE revealed his new on-screen name as Naraku, which is the rough equivalent of “hell” or “abyss” and is often analogous with evil. Naraku will also make his in-ring debut next week.

Another NXT Debutant Gets New WWE Name
In addition to IYO SKY’s real-life partner getting the screen name of Naraku, another wrestler revealed their new moniker to the world.
On April 28, British wrestler Will Kroos also made his on-screen debut, where he attacked Tony D’Angelo following the latter’s confrontation with Naraku.
Kroos entered the ring unannounced, went to the top turnbuckle, and performed a moonsault over D’Angelo, who had been laid out by Tavion Heights.
At the time, commentator Vic Joseph did not seem to know who the individual was and speculated whether or not it was a fan.
The Tuesday taping of NXT saw the NXT Champion face Heights in a singles match in the main event.
In a seesaw battle between the two wrestlers, D’Angelo emerged as the victor after Kam Hendrix and Myles Borne caused a distraction.
After the match, Tony went towards Heights with the hope of getting him to his feet but was attacked from behind by Kroos. He then lifted D’Angelo and hit a body slam, sending him into Heights.
