“I’m Glad I Never Slept With Him” – Ex-WWE Diva Confesses To Stalking Wrestler

A former WWE Diva has made a shocking personal confession.

Shelly Martinez (fka Ariel) had a five-year run on the independent circuit before signing with WWE in 2005. She had a two-year stint at the Stamford-based company, where she mainly performed on the ECW brand.

However, the 45-year-old was released from her contract in 2007. She later joined TNA Wrestling for a brief run before returning to the indies. In 2017, the EWF Tag Team Champion announced her retirement from wrestling.

The Former WWE Diva Told A Wild Story

During a recent episode of her Too Much Information podcast, Shelly Martinez opened up about her love life, disclosing that she once stalked an unnamed wrestler she was interested in.

The former WWE Diva revealed that she got herself booked on the same shows he was performing on to get to know him. Nevertheless, she eventually realized they would not be a good match, stating that she was glad she never slept with him.

Because I knew him through wrestling, I was like, ‘I don’t really know him know him.’ So, I had to get booked on shows he’s at so I can be around him more to see if it’s just a crush or if I really do like him this much. So, I would go on his website and see where he was at and I would contact everyone.

And there were times I took huge pay cuts because there were these small tiny little companies, right? And I would follow across the country trying to get to know him better and then I came to the conclusion this guy is not for me. I’m glad I never slept with him, like, because that would have complicated it. So, I don’t regret it.

Even though I, again, feel very pathetic because of taking those bookings, man, I had some of the best times ever, dude. That had nothing to do with him. Whether it was moments in the ring, connecting with the fans, connecting with the people in different territories, like specifically other female wrestlers that I’d be working with and stuff like that, and creating these moments, like, oh my gosh, that’s why I signed up for wrestling. I wanted to be that person.

What got me there was wanting to get to, and I think when you think about it, it’s kinda healthy thing in a way. Before thinking I was gonna sleep with a guy, I was like, ‘I need to get to know him.’ The only way, I had to be around him. Okay. Well, wrestling because it always goes back to wrestling. So, I don’t regret it, but I felt like a creep for the longest time about it until I realized and looked at the big picutre, like, ‘No, dude.’ And I’m so glad I never slept with him. [1:47 onwards]
