Hulk Hogan Offered “Six Figures” To Headline Triplemania

Hulk Hogan poses for the crowd WWE

Hulk Hogan last competed in a ring in Mexico back in 1984 but now it has emerged that Hogan was offered a chance to return and main event a huge show for AAA.

Hulk Hogan is perhaps the most iconic star in all of wrestling history. The WWE Hall of Famer brought the curtain down on his WWE career with a victory over Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2006 but his story was far from finished there.

Hogan continued his career with a run in TNA and despite his legendary status he officially competed for the final time of his career at a TNA live event in Manchester, England in 2012 in front of around 4,000 fans.

Speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, former WCW star Konnan says that Hulk Hogan had an offer from AAA to headline Triplemania back in 2007:

“We reached out to Hogan because we wanted him to main event TripleMania. We did offer him six figures, and at the last second, something came up. I don’t remember what it was and he couldn’t make it.”

Instead of Hulk Hogan in the main event, Triplemania in 2007 was headlined by a Domo De La Muerte cage match which saw Charly Manson, Chessman, and Cibernético defeat El Mesías, Sean Waltman, and Kenzo Suzuki and as a result, Suzuki had his head shaved.
