How Vince McMahon Made WWE Star Cry

Vince McMahon

A WWE Hall Of Famer has opened up on the time Vince McMahon left them in tears following a meeting between the pair.

As well as being a key member of D-Generation X, The Road Dogg created a legacy in the tag team scene alongside Billy Gunn as The New Age Outlaws. Although they had a decent run together, it was inevitable that the pair would eventually split as all tag teams do.

In a discussion on his Oh…You Didn’t Know podcast, The Road Dogg has recalled the meeting with Vince McMahon where he was told that his time teaming with Billy Gunn was drawing to its conclusion, and how that moment left him in tears.

When they tried to split me and Billy [Gunn] up and this is a true story, I literally cried tears in Vince McMahon’s office and said, ‘I don’t think I can carry this on my own.’

I didn’t believe in myself and Vince talked me up and talked me out of there and I was like — walked out of there feeling great and went on to do the Intercontinental and the Hardcore Title, but I had already started really going down a dark path with my drug use and stuff by then.

Vince McMahon is currently one of the hot topics in the wrestling world, after allegations that he paid $12 million in “hush money” to former employees of WWE.
