Further Details On Drew McIntyre Being Upset At WWE Survivor Series
Drew McIntyre was legitimately upset at Survivor Series: WarGames.
McIntyre joined forces with the Judgment Day is a losing effort against Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and the returning Randy Orton in an action packed main event in Chicago on 25th November.
Fan-shot footage showed McIntyre race away from the ringside area following the brutal bout with rumours abound that he stormed out of the arena immediately following the event.
McIntyre was not present on-screen when CM Punk made his shock return to WWE at the end of the Premium Live Event.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that McIntyre’s anger was legitimate, although the prominent wrestling journalist was unable to confirm if the Scottish Superstar’s anger was related to the returning Punk:
“Yeah, he was very upset. As the night went on, he was less upset. And as far as the reason he left, I don’t want to give any wrong information.
I will say that people in the company who told me thought it had to do with [CM] Punk. I cannot confirm that. Only that’s what people in the company thought.
But he was legitimately upset about something, whatever it was, I don’t know.”
Drew McIntyre Could Be Set For Huge 2024
Dave Meltzer would go on to state his belief that ‘The Scottish Warrior’ could be set for a huge few months as the company look to convince the former WWE Champion to sign a new deal. McIntyre’s current deal is set to expire during 2024.
