Former champion wants a title shot against CM Punk if he returns to WWE
During an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, former WWE Champion David Otunga revealed that he wants to work with CM Punk again. Since, Punk is currently the World Heavyweight Champion, he would like to return to the Stamford-based promotion and challenge for the title.
I would love to work with CM Punk before he retires again. We worked together but like you know it was the new Nexus and I was like his protégé. It’d be cool like to work with him one time and he presently is the champ so I would like to return and have a title shot.
David Otunga had made the headlines multiple times in the final week of John Cena’s Farewell Tour. He called out Cena for his backstage behaviour, but several stories contradicted what David Otunga was claiming about Never Seen 17.
