Former AEW Champion On Hiatus From The Ring – “I Might Stay”

Jade Cargill Thunder Rosa AEW Rampage

One former champion in AEW is enjoying her hiatus from the company.

Jade Cargill hasn’t been seen in AEW since losing her TBS Championship to Kris Statlander, who made a surprise return from injury at Double or Nothing to capture the belt after Cargill had successfully defeated Taya Valkyrie.

After her shocking defeat, reports emerged that Cargill was set to take time away from television and would be undergoing a “personality shift,” though there were no details on what that shift might entail.

Now, Cargill has taken to social media and made it clear that she’s enjoying her time away from the ring. When asked by one fan if she plans to return soon, Cargill responded simply, “No.”

The next day, the star shared photos of herself at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards and said that time outside the wrestling bubble is nice. In fact, she claims she might want to stay away from the ring.

“Outside of the wrestling bubble is nice. I might stay.”

One fan protested and claimed that Cargill wouldn’t be famous without her time in AEW, but she was quick to correct the fan, saying she had plenty of fans’ attention before she ever stepped inside the squared circle.

“No they did not. YOU know me because of AEW. A lot of my fans knew me prior. But go on. Thus the reason I stuck with my name rather than a stage name.”

However, Cargill doesn’t want fans to get the wrong impression, and chastised her followers for reading too far into her tweets. She also took the opportunity to promote her softball team, the Texas Smoke.

“You guys can be so messy yโ€™all love to start something from nothing. Anyway. Free promo- Support my Pro Softball Team @thetexassmoke”
