First Look At The Rock’s Shocking Appearance In “Moana” Movie (VIDEO)
The Rock looks very different in the real-life version of the animated hit “Moana.”
As a successful actor in the movies and on television, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is used to taking on different looks because that’s part of the job.
In his portrayal of Mark Kerr in “The Smashing Machine,” The Rock was praised heavily not just for his acting, but also for how different he looked in the role.
After voicing the character of Maui in the smash animated hit “Moana,” The Rock is also playing Maui in a live adaptation of the film. For this role, The Rock has undergone a massive change that may surprise some viewers: a look with very long hair, which Rock hasn’t had in a long time.
That long-haired Rock is likely going to lead to some interesting comments about The Brahma Bull’s look in Moana.
In addition to photos like that, there’s also a Moana trailer that The Rock shared on social media. Moana is in theaters on July 10th.

The Rock Feels That Destiny Made Him Go From WWE To Movies
After success in films in the early 2000s, The Rock made a full-time move into acting around 2004, following his WrestleMania 20 appearance in New York City. While he would return to WWE several more times down the road, The Rock became a massive movie star, and it was obviously the right choice for him.
When discussing his move from the WWE ring to the movies, The Rock explained why he knew that acting in movies was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
“Well, I think it was planned by something more powerful than me, for sure. Destiny, I believe in the universe, but I also wanted to grow, and I wanted to challenge myself.
My first acting gig was The Mummy Returns with Brendan Fraser. We were shooting in Morocco in the Sahara Desert, and I was so sick cause I went over there, and I probably ate something I shouldn’t have eaten. So, I caught that thing, and it’s 110°. I’m freezing. I’m wearing a blanket.
Stephen Sommers comes over, the director, ‘Hey, you okay?’ I’m like, ‘yeah, I’m okay. Let’s do it.’ He calls action. We have our scene. And I had never acted before, but he called action. And when he says cut, you know, we hear the ‘Oh, you got bit by the acting bug, the thing that happens.’ When he yelled cut, I went, ‘This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.’”
Regarding the WWE Universe, some people think The Rock could be a big reason Randy Orton turned heel on Cody Rhodes. However, Rock hasn’t been part of WWE in over a year and doesn’t even promote the company on social media, so that theory of a possible Rock return could be way off. In WWE land, though, we have learned to never say never.
