Finn Balor has explained why he thinks Dominik Mysterio is the future of pro wrestling.

It was just about one year ago when Dominik Mysterio turned on his WWE Hall of Fame father Rey Mysterio and his good friend Edge at the Clash at the Castle PLE in Wales.

Over the last five months since WrestleMania 39, all The Judgment Day has done is win and add championships to the group. It started with “Mami” Rhea Ripley beating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania and a change in championships led to WWE gifting her with the new Women’s World Title.

Damian Priest won the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase at the Money in the Bank PLE in July.

Dominik Mysterio also won his first singles title in WWE in his first NXT singles match when he beat Wes Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion.

Last weekend at WWE Payback, Damian Priest & Finn Balor beat Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens to become WWE Tag Team Champions in a Steel City Street Fight where they got a lot of help from Ripley, Dominik and JD McDonagh, who clearly wants to be in the group.

Finn Balor Is Excited About Dominik Mysterio’s WWE Future

While The Judgment Day lacks an official, Finn Balor is the most experienced pro wrestler in the group at 42 years of age and over 21 years of experience in wrestling. Dominik Mysterio is just 26 years old with only three years of experience in WWE, which has Balor talking glowingly about “Dirty” Dom’s future.

In an interview with the Ringer Wrestling Show, Balor praised his buddy Dominik and how much he has grown even without the same experience that other WWE stars might have.

“I feel like he was given kind of a warm reception when he came in because he was the son of Hall of Famer, son of Rey Mysterio. He was kind of like accepted because he was the blood of Rey Mysterio. It was like ‘Ah we appreciate you’re doing this for us. Because we love your dad so much, we’re gonna cheer for you too.'”

“Once he stepped out from under that tree and started fending for himself, he’s just been a completely different animal. Not only the growth he’s shown, outside of the ring and on his promos and his character work, but his growth inside of the ring has been absolutely monumental for someone who has had very little training, no NXT experience pretty much. Most of his training has been done on the job, on live TV. This kid is the future of the business, in my opinion.”

Last night on WWE Smackdown, Finn Balor & Damian Priest beat The Brawling Brutes team of Butch & Ridge Holland while Dominik Mysterio was at ringside.
