Exciting Plans For Finn Balor Emerge Following His Split From Judgment Day On WWE Raw
March 9 was a forgettable day for Finn Balor.
During the WWE Raw taping, Balor was confronted by his Judgment Day stablemate, Dominik Mysterio, after he refused him help during his unsuccessful Intercontinental Championship title defense against Penta a week ago.
The 44-year-old tried talking some sense into the second-generation superstar, but the segment evolved into a heated physical exchange that saw the entire Judgment Day turn on him.
Both Mysterio and JD McDonagh physically assaulted him, even using the ring bell hammer and a chair to their advantage.
After their assault, the members of the faction mocked Finn Balor.
Now, a report by Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net has revealed that the wrestling veteran could return with his ‘Demon’ persona against Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day.
They delayed the story because everyone kept getting injured. And yes they want Finn to be Demon Bálor against Dom.
An earlier report claimed that a match between them was initially discussed for SummerSlam 2025, which fell through because of an ongoing storyline at the time that needed the team to remain intact.
Furthermore, injuries to different members of the faction led to the postponement of the break-up storyline.
Finn Balor Blamed WWE For Messing Up The Demon Character
The last time Finn Balor appeared in his ‘Demon’ avatar was at WrestleMania 39 during his Hell in a Cell match against Edge.
Speaking on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, he revealed the prevailing confusion surrounding the character.
Balor said that NXT utilized “The Demon” better than WWE did on the main roster.
It was done really effectively in NXT, but when I came to the main roster, it wasn’t done as well for a multitude of reasons.
I don’t think I need it, and that’s why I was so resistant to doing it for a long time. The way it was booked and presented by the company, I felt it just wasn’t effective — or as effective as it could have been.
There was some sort of confusion, like why is he the Demon some nights and Finn on other nights? Maybe some people were let down when I wasn’t the Demon.
After using the character sparingly, Finn Balor might now be ready to unleash himself on his former stablemate.
