Ex-WWE Star Made Out With Torrie Wilson & Her Father On The Same Night: “It Was Weird”

A former WWE superstar recalls her unique angle with Torrie Wilson and Wilson’s father, Al.

There was a storyline on the WWE SmackDown brand in late 2002-early 2003 where Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie were romantically linked in a unique way.

While SmackDown didn’t have a women’s title at the time, Torrie and Dawn were engaged in numerous competitions in bathing suits or lingerie, and the more popular Wilson would usually win over the heel Marie.

To get back at Wilson for losing so often to her, Dawn seduced Torrie’s elderly father, Al. The story was so ridiculous that it led Torrie to make out with Dawn in a hotel room to try to get Dawn to stop taking advantage of poor Al. It eventually led to Dawn marrying Al while Dawn was in her lingerie.

Sadly, Al “died” during the honeymoon with Dawn. At the “funeral” for poor Al, Wilson and Marie got into a brawl because that’s what happens in WWE.

This storyline led to Torrie Wilson beating Dawn Marie in a 4-minute match at the 2003 Royal Rumble that put an end to this rivalry.

While the Torrie Wilson-Dawn Marie storyline won’t be remembered as an iconic women’s feud that deserves to be celebrated, it certainly had memorable moments featuring some talented women.

Dawn Marie Recalls Awkwardness Of Torrie Wilson Feud

Torrie Wilson went on to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame even though she was never a Women’s Champion in the company. Despite that, Wilson had a decade-long run if you combine her WCW and WWE runs.

Dawn Marie worked in ECW before her WWE career, which lasted for a few years, and wasn’t known for her in-ring prowess.

Speaking to Going Ringside, Dawn Marie reflected on her most memorable WWE storyline with Torrie and her real-life dad, Al.

“They came up with an angle and they wanted me to seduce her father. They used her real father. They asked her, ‘Do you want to use your real dad, or do you want us to hire someone?’ She’s like, ‘No, use my real dad. It’ll give me an opportunity to spend some time with him, because you know when you’re on the road, you don’t see your family ever.

It was weird when I had to make out with her father and her all on the same night. It was okay. It was fun,”

Even though she didn’t mention the feud with Dawn Marie specifically, Torrie Wilson admitted in a September 2025 interview that she didn’t love some of the things that happened in her wrestling career.

“For a long time, I kind of had mixed feelings about my time in wrestling because there was so much about it that I felt like was just, you know, I don’t know about embarrassing, but like I just I just felt yucky, you know, thinking about it.

And, so I just kind of closed that door and just had no desire really to do much with it. I did signings here and there, but I just kind of wanted to stay out of that world. It just felt yucky.”
