Chelsea Green ended up with a bloodied nose after a botched spot.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIX, she faced Zelina Vega, who was the then-Women’s United States Champion.

Vega had Green hung up on the middle rope, lined up for the 619. However, while performing the move, Vega got caught up in the ropes, but went ahead to complete the sequence anyway.

Unfortunately, her shin connected with Green’s bridge of the nose, causing an indent and bleeding.

While her Secret Hervice stablemates caused a distraction, Green tried to sneak a move, but was caught by Vega, who in turn hit a Code Red from the middle rope for the win.

Episode 3 of WWE: Unreal Season 2 showed a backstage interaction between Chelsea Green and Zelina Vega, where the latter seemed shocked to see her opponent bleeding.

She then profusely apologized, to which Green replied that it did not hurt, as she had broken her nose multiple times before.

Chelsea Green’s Role In WWE Revealed

Despite being the inaugural Women’s United States Champion and a two-time holder of the title, Chelsea Green’s role in WWE is not that of a champion.

Instead, as revealed by Michael Hayes on Unreal, Green’s role is to turn others into champions; in simple words, her role is that of a talent enhancement.

Chelsea is so entertaining, but she is not built for, nor should she be, in a Charlotte Flair role or Tiffany Stratton because Chelsea’s job is to help make those people.

Green recently lost her Women’s United States Championship to Giulia.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, she lost her match against Jordynne Grace. Grace, meanwhile, has started a feud with WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.

After the match, Green tried to attack Grace, but ended up knocking Cargill off the apron and immediately regretting it.
