Ex-TNA World Champion Suffers Serious Injury At Genesis
A former TNA World Champion has admitted that they suffered a bad injury at Genesis.
The Genesis pay-per-view might have lifted those in TNA’s spirits after the company made its panned debut on AMC. Genesis saw Mike Santana retain the TNA World Title in a Texas Death Match against Frankie Kazarian with Nic Nemeth acting as special referee.
JDC competed in his retirement match, going out on his sword against his partner in The System, Eddie Edwards. Lei Ying Lee stopped the TNA Knockouts Championship from going to a WWE star as she defeated Zaria, and The Hardys retained their TNA Tag Team Championship against The Righteous.
Depending on what you believe, visa issues or WWE forced TNA to pull a planned title match from the show, with Leon Slater not there to defend his X-Division Title. New WWE star Joe Hendry replaced him in a three-way match against Moose and Cedric Alexander, and there were few surprises that Hendry picked up the win.
TNA Star Moose Injured At Genesis
Former TNA World Champion Moose has now taken to social media to reveal that he suffered a “serious injury” at Genesis:
For those who watched TNA Genesis I did suffer a serious injury. From the bottom of my heart I want to sincerely thank everyone for all their concern and get well soon wishes.
However, despite having problems with his back, Moose noted that he expects to be at TNA’s next set of TV tapings:
My back is super stiff still at the moment but I should be ok for [TNA] AMC live in Albuquerque.
