Ex-AEW Star Could Be Heading To WWE Main Roster
A former AEW star may be on the road to making their WWE main roster debut.
Ethan Page was a part of All Elite Wrestling from 2021 to 2024, following which he joined WWE in May 2024.
Page described his run in the Jacksonville promotion as chaotic. Despite wrestling in his final match in December 2023, he made a few appearances for Ring of Honor before leaving in February.
Since joining the Stamford promotion, Page has been one of the top stars on NXT, even holding the North American Championship for 273 days, a record he now shares with Oba Femi.
Last Tuesday on the developmental brand, the former AEW star was defeated by Myles Borne, causing the title to change hands.
Borne also defeated Page in an impromptu match on March 3, as the wrestlers competed in their suits after a heated exchange at the beginning of the show.
Bodyslam.net reports that the 36-year-old may be main roster-bound but not before taking one final crack at the NXT Championship, currently held by Joe Hendry.
Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Ethan Page has been talked about a lot regarding a potential main roster move.
Another source noted that Page is expected to make the move to the main event title scene in NXT again before officially heading to the main roster. [H/T: Ringside News]
AEW Title Shockingly Changes Hands On Dynamite
On March 4, Thekla was scheduled to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Thunder Rosa on Dynamite.
However, midway through the show, The Don Callis Family challenged Adam Page, Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight for the AEW World Trios Championship, making it the official main event.
Representing The Don Callis Family, Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis defeated the babyface trio after MJF interfered and attacked Page behind the referee’s back.
Knight, who had challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship earlier in the night, was hit by a piledriver by Davis for the win.
