After going through highs and lows, The Scotsman secured a championship match against Cody Rhodes. He set the stipulation as Three Stages of Hell.

At the match, McIntyre won the first singles round, Rhodes won the second Falls Count Anywhere round, and finally, The Scottish Warrior won the steel cage match. However, he won it after Jacob Fatu interfered, and McIntyre took the opportunity to escape the ring.

Drew McIntyre lost the WWE title match to Cody Rhodes

WWE has been doing live shows around Europe. McIntyre placed the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Cody Rhodes on January 20th, 2026. The show emanated from the Forest National in Brussels, Belgium.

The American Nightmare secured the victory over The Scottish Warrior. However, McIntyre retained the championship since the victory was via DQ. McIntyre would let Rhodes win via DQ if it meant that he wouldn’t have to lose the title.

There is going to be no rematch on WWE TV for the Undisputed WWE Championship match. Cody Rhodes will have to earn another opportunity to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
