Drew McIntyre Sees Himself In Rising WWE SmackDown Star

Drew McIntyre WWE side-eye

A talented younger wrestler on WWE SmackDown has caught Drew McIntyre’s eye as somebody with a bright future.

As the current Undisputed WWE Champion, who has been a World Champion four times over his 20+ year career, Drew McIntyre is on top of the WWE world as the biggest heel in the company.

There was a time in his WWE career, nearly 20 years ago, when McIntyre was labeled as “The Chosen One” by Vince McMahon because McMahon felt that McIntyre had all the tools to be a main event performer.

While McIntyre’s career had many twists and turns, he eventually became the main event player.

When looking at the current WWE roster, McIntyre talked to TMZ’s Inside The Ring about who has caught his eye. McIntyre specifically mentioned the former 2-time NXT Champion Trick Williams, who recently joined SmackDown full time.

“Coming up right now, that I’ve gotten to see enough of, maybe Trick (Williams). He certainly has a great look, charisma, and ability. It’s just what you do when you’re given the ball.

I got the ball to the highest level when I was younger and wasn’t able to quite maximize and had to take the long way around. Hopefully, Trick takes that opportunity and absolutely smashes it. Based on what I’m seeing, he’s young, jacked, and handsome, just like I was. He’s going to get some opportunities.”

Drew McIntyre Will Wrestle The Winner Of Fatal 4-Way Match At The WWE Royal Rumble
