Drew McIntyre Breaks Silence After Devastating WWE Title Loss
Drew McIntyre has lost the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The Scottish Warrior put his title on the line against Cody Rhodes on the March 6 episode of WWE SmackDown. The match was made after McIntyre interrupted the Men’s Elimination Chamber match and cost Rhodes his chance to win the bout.
Later, during the post-show of WWE Elimination Chamber, an angry Nick Aldis announced the matchup after becoming fed up with McIntyre’s repeated interference in Rhodes’ matches.
The ending of the Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre title match on the blue brand saw a chaotic sequence. During the closing moments, McIntyre accidentally hit the referee with a Glasgow Kick, knocking him out.
With the referee down, McIntyre tried to use a steel chair to attack Rhodes. However, Jacob Fatu suddenly interfered and stopped him from using the weapon. Rhodes took advantage of the distraction and hit the Cody Cutter, followed by the Cross Rhodes on McIntyre to secure the pinfall victory.

With the win, Cody Rhodes became a three-time WWE Champion. And now that Rhodes is the champion, he is set to defend the title against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
Since Jacob Fatu cost McIntyre the WWE Championship on SmackDown, it is likely that the two stars will collide at the grandest stage of them all this year.
