Dominik Mysterio has landed himself in a difficult predicament.

The King of the Luchadors currently serves as the AAA Mega Champion, and his latest contract signing with El Hijo del Vikingo came with a curveball.

On the February 21 episode of AAA on FOX, a no-disqualification match between the two second-generation superstars was finalized for AAA Rey de Reyes on March 14, 2026, with the title on the line as well.

One of the conditions stated that if Vikingo lost, he could never challenge for the AAA Mega Championship till the time Dominik Mysterio was the champion.

Conversely, if Mysterio lost, he must leave the Mexican promotion forever.

Their feud spans several months, with both wrestlers trading insults and attacks on each other.

Despite being a heel in WWE, Dominik is presented as an anti-hero, if not a babyface, in entirety. On the other hand, the fans turned on El Hijo del Vikingo last year, which led to him aligning himself with Omos and Dorian Roldán to form the El Ojo stable.

Dominik Mysterio Finds Out His Next WWE Intercontinental Championship Challenger

Dominik Mysterio is not off the hook in WWE either.

Since reclaiming the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames in November, he has yet to defend it.

Between then and the present day, the 28-year-old has competed in only two matches. His match at AAA Guerra De Titanes in December saw him get legitimately injured at his father’s hands, which kept him out for several weeks.

As a result, he even missed the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match.

On last week’s Raw taping, Penta defeated El Grande Americano in a singles match to become the #1 Contender for Mysterio’s title.

Both superstars had a short-lived feud last year during which ‘Dirty Dom’ successfully defended his title several times.
