A current title holder in WWE looks to be out indefinitely, with the injury set to be addressed on tonight’s Monday Night Raw.

The Women’s Tag Team Championships in WWE have been hotly contested over the last couple of months. Whilst it seemingly accelerated the departure of Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler turned on her partner at the beginning of July at Money In The Bank, meaning that Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez captured the gold.

However, their second reign was short lived, as they were defeated by Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green on the 17th July 2023 edition of the red brand, marking both of the challengers first reign with a title in the company.

Sonya Deville “Out Indefinitely”

It seems like there could be some more hot potato about to happen with the titles, as TMZ are reporting that Deville has suffered a torn ACL for which she will undergo surgery on Tuesday. The timeframe for any kind of recovery is not listed, meaning she will be out “indefinitely”.

Our sources say DeVille tore her ACL during her tag team championship match against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair on July 28 in New Orleans on SmackDown… and will undergo a procedure on Tuesday to fix the issue.

According to the report, WWE are set to address the issue on tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw. That adds to the fact that the event is coming off the back of SummerSlam, so there will be plenty to come out of it including Cody Rhodes winning the rubber match against Brock Lesnar.

In an update by Deville, the report regarding the injury has been confirmed.
