Controversial Segment Edited Out Of AEW Dark

Max Caster

A controversial segment has been edited out of AEW Dark after it was initially allowed to air.

On the August 3rd episode of AEW Dark Max Caster teamed with Anthony Bowens, Matt Hardy, & The Blade to take on The Varsity Blonds and The Sydal Brothers. Ahead of the bout Caster performed his customary battle rap style entrance.

However, on this occasion Caster’s comments crossed the line for many in attendance and watching at home. Caster made reference to Simone Biles’ mental health, Duke Lacrosse rape accusations and fake PCR tests among other things.

The entrance aired as normal on AEW Dark before being edited out of the on demand version of the show.

The controversy comes after AEW found themselves in hot water with Domino’s pizza following the main event at Fight For The Fallen less then a week earlier. During the Death Match between Nick Gage and Chris Jericho, Gage used a pizza cutter to attack his rival. As the match was taking place, the show cut to a commercial break which included an ad for Domino’s.

The pizza chain later released a statement saying that they were “assessing their advertising presence” on the show.
