Cody Rhodes’ WWE Heel Turn May Happen Sooner Than We Think

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has been a babyface in WWE for almost four years, but he might turn heel sooner than everyone expects.

The American Nightmare has recently discussed his run as a babyface. He admitted that he currently has no interest in turning heel, claiming that he enjoys the challenge of being a hero in this era.

Nevertheless, former WWE head writer Vince Russo pointed out on The Coach & Bro Show that the former Undisputed Champion could be throwing fans off before making a surprise turn.

Cody Rhodes To Turn Heel At WWE WrestleMania?

During the same episode of The Coach & Bro Show, Vince Russo laid out a scenario that would see Cody Rhodes win the Elimination Chamber and challenge Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.

The former WWE head writer suggested The American Nightmare and The Scottish Warrior could do a double turn at The Show of Shows.

Maybe that’s where you pull the Austin-Bret Hart. Maybe during that match, Drew and Cody switch roles. And maybe during that match, Drew becomes the babyface, and Cody becomes the heel. Drew would be over huge as a babyface, and Cody would make a great heel. [44:21 onwards]
