CM Punk looks to be on his way back to AEW and a new report has highlighted a date to keep in mind for when the former AEW Champion makes his long-awaited return.

Punk has been missing from AEW since winning the company’s World Championship at All Out in September 2022. However, the events following that show overshadowed that win as Punk lambasted several members of the roster before a backstage fight took place involving Punk and The Elite.

Despite that, reports have suggested CM Punk is on his way back to AEW with a big meeting involving Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, FTR, and Punk himself set to take place.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that a familiar location looks set to see Punk’s return to the company:

“As things stand right now, the return of C.M. Punk is scheduled for a 6/17 show at the United Center in Chicago, which being a Saturday night show, is likely the debut of the new weekly show.”

The United Center was the venue for AEW Rampage – The First Dance on August 20th, 2021 where over 15,000 fans packed the arena for CM Punk’s debut in the company despite the fact that the former WWE Champion was never officially announced to be appearing.

The Saturday night show is rumored as being Punk’s new AEW home with a split in the roster leaving The Elite – who are rumored to not want to work with Punk – remaining chiefly on Wednesday’s Dynamite show.
