CM Punk Suddenly References Top AEW Star On WWE RAW
CM Punk made an appearance on this week’s episode of WWE and referenced a top AEW star during the show.
The main event of the March 16, 2026, episode of Monday Night Raw in San Antonio, Texas, featured a heated segment between CM Punk and Roman Reigns as the two continued to build toward their World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 42.
Reigns has repeatedly addressed Punk by his real name, Phil, in an attempt to get under his skin. Punk fired back by saying he could also call Reigns by his government name, Leati Joseph Anoa’i, even mentioning the nickname “Joe.”
However, Punk added that he didn’t want to call him Joe because that would be an insult to his good friend, who is a “real Samoan” that he actually loves and respects. This was a reference to Samoa Joe, who is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling.
“I’m certainly not going to call you Joe because that would be insulting to a real Samoan who I love very much.” 😱@CMPunkpic.twitter.com/JBp4Ro66F4

Roman Reigns Uses AJ Lee To Insult CM Punk On WWE Raw
The segment quickly intensified as both stars exchanged personal jabs. Punk mocked Reigns for being a part-timer like he always does, but Reigns clapped by reminding Punk that his wife, AJ Lee, is also working a part-time schedule.
Reigns then called Punk a try-hard and mocked him for his age, which clearly struck a nerve. Punk responded by hitting Reigns with a microphone and following it up with a punch, sparking a brief brawl between the two.
Before things could escalate further, security and officials rushed to the ring to separate them, bringing the chaotic segment to an end while continuing to build tension ahead of their highly anticipated WrestleMania clash.
