Chris Jericho’s “Calm Demeanour” Praised In AEW

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has been lauded for his calm demeanour and stepping up to a leadership role in AEW as chaotic scenes engulfed the company in the wake of All Out.

Rumours of unrest in the AEW locker room have dogged the company in recent weeks and the powder keg environment exploded as a result of CM Punk’s candid comments at the All Out media scrum.

Punk had regained the AEW World Championship in the night’s main event against Jon Moxley but was then confronted by a returning MJF who after the Casino Ladder Match has an AEW World Title shot in his future.

The headlines came, however, as a result of Punk’s explosive comments at the post-show media scrum where Punk took aim at Hangman Adam Page, MJF, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks, as well as going over his past issues with Colt Cabana.

As a result, “a melee” was said to have occurred with reports suggesting CM Punk threw a punch at Matt Jackson while his friend and AEW producer Ace Steel was alleged to have nailed Nick Jackson with a chair and bit Kenny Omega.

Fightful Select has reported that in this chaos, Chris Jericho has been praised for his calm demeanour as he took the hot seat in the media scrum after Punk left. It was also noted that Jericho has been seen as someone who has stepped up in a leadership role in recent weeks. Jericho also recently spoke at the company-wide talent meeting and was lauded as being a welcome presence there.
