Chelsea Green Shares Positive Injury Update Amid WWE In-Ring Absence

Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green has been sidelined from in-ring action with a broken ankle.

Green suffered the injury during an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend on the February 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. It was initially believed to be a severe bruise or sprain, but follow-up tests later confirmed that she cracked and chipped a bone in her ankle.

As a result of the injury, Green was unable to defend her AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside her partner, Ethan Page, at the AAA event. La Hiedra stepped in as a replacement to team with Page against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana, but the makeshift team lost.

Despite the injury, Chelsea Green has remained on television. She appeared on the February 20 episode of SmackDown in a wheelchair, where she was at ringside to support her teammate Alba Fyre during her match against Tiffany Stratton.

Chelsea Green Says She’ll Be Back In Action Soon

In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo on the red carpet at the WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Chelsea Green was asked about her ankle injury. She revealed that she is healing faster than expected and said she has already taken the boot off, though she added that it was only for fashion.

“Um, I’m healing up much faster than I thought I would be. I’m out of the boot, but only for the fashion. I should not be out of the boot. Um, I chipped my ankle, the side of it. So, it’s painful, but I feel like I got lucky. Like, in terms of a broken ankle, I feel like I got very very very lucky. Thank gosh.”

When asked if she would be out for long, Chelsea Green reassured fans that she will be back in the ring soon.

“No, no, no, I won’t be.”
