Charlotte Flair Wants Only One WWE Star By Her Side At WrestleMania
Charlotte Flair hasn’t been officially added to the WrestleMania 42 match card yet, but according to rumors, she is expected to compete at the premium live event.
According to the WWE rumor mill, a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship is being planned, featuring Nia Jax and Lash Legend (the current champions), The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria at the Showcase of the Immortals in Las Vegas.
Ahead of WrestleMania 42, Charlotte Flair spoke in a new interview with Complex Graps The Podcast , where she was asked about the rumors of her being involved in a women’s tag team match at the event.
Charlotte Flair Wants To Share The WrestleMania 42 Stage With Alexa Bliss
Charlotte revealed WWE hasn’t booked her for WrestleMania, but she hopes that if she does get a spot on the card, she would like to share the stage with her tag team partner, Alexa Bliss.
“If you had asked me this time last year, going into WrestleMania possibly as a tag team with Alexa Bliss after having one of your most successful character development years and engaging with the audience and having this much fun, I’d be like, ‘I don’t know what you’re smoking.’”
“We don’t have a clear path to WrestleMania right now, but I know how Lexi feels, I know how I feel — we’re going to do everything we can in our power to get on WrestleMania and fight for those tag team championships if there is an opportunity.”
“After the year I’ve had with Lexi, she’s who I want to share the stage with. Going from winning at SummerSlam to being at WarGames and winning together, then to the Royal Rumble where I was entrant #1 and she was entrant #2, choosing to fight by her side and not toss her over — she is who I want beside me.”
“If I’m on the card this year, that would be my ninth WrestleMania.”
