BREAKING: Top WWE Champion Pinned On SmackDown
The WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley came out to address the crowd in Bologna, Italy, tonight. She came out to the ring sporting a knee cap on her right knee and confirmed that she’s suffered an injury.
Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain her title at Clash in Italy after receiving some help from Charlotte Flair, and seemingly injured her knee during the match. Flair came out and gave Rhea her flowers before sending a clear message.
Flair stated that while she has enjoyed teaming with Ripley, she still wants the WWE Women’s Championship and will be coming for Ripley’s title after she wins the Queen of the Ring tournament.
The duo was joined by the Women’s United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton, who wanted a shot at Rhea as well and became a double champion by taking back the WWE Women’s Title.
Jade Cargill picks up a major win on WWE SmackDown
As the three of them spoke amongst themselves, Jade Cargill and her lackies, B-Fab and Michin, made their way to the ring. Cargill stated that despite her defeat at Clash in Italy, she will be the one to challenge Ripley again by winning the Queen of the Ring.
After a lot of back and forth between them, Nick Aldis came out and made a tag team match between them official. Flair suggested that she team up with Tiffany Stratton to take on Jade and Michin, and Aldis announced that the match would take place instantly.
All four individuals then had a hard-hitting match where the momentum kept shifting between the two teams. Michin took a lot of the damage for her team before Jade took control of the match.
Flair was taken out of the equation towards the end, and Tiffany fought it out with Cargill. She was about to pick up the win after hitting a Fireman’s Carry Slam on Jade before heading for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.
However, Jade recovered and stopped her from hitting the move and smashed her on the turnbuckle. She then picked her up and hit the Jaded on her to pin the United States Champion and pick up the win.
