AEW delivered a huge surprise to their fans last month after the promotion’s inaugural World Champion, Chris Jericho, made his return to the company after a year-long absence.

Jericho was rumored to return to WWE amid his absence from the All Elite promotion, and his appearance on the April 1 episode of Dynamite came as a massive surprise to the fans.

Ever since returning, Jericho has been involved in a programme with former AEW National Champion, Ricochet. The two men even faced each other at Dynasty, where Ricochet emerged victorious.

Things weren’t over between them after their match at Dynasty, and this rivalry between the two men has continued since. Ricochet, backed by the GOA, even took Jericho out in a backstage attack last week.

They met in the ring tonight, where Ricochet challenged Jericho to another match at Double or Nothing later this month. However, instead of it being a singles bout, he challenged Jericho to a match of his own creation, the Stadium Stampede.

Jericho accepted Ricochet’s challenge, claiming that he’ll find four other partners to face him and even if he doesn’t, he’ll take all of them down alone. A brawl broke out between the two, and just as The Demand was about to gang up on the former World Champion, The Hurt Syndicate came out to Jericho’s rescue.
